Kent Police release new details of man they’re looking for in rape investigation

Kent Police realease description of man they want to speak to after a rape was reported friday morning.

Kent Police were called at 3:41am on friday to reports of a rape that had taken place near the junction of Canterbury and University road, next to Kent University.

Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are currently carrying out an investigation while enquries are ongoing.

Detective Chief Inspector Nick Gossett, described the incident as a ‘distressing an heinous offence’.

He said: “Our number one priority is ensuring the victim receives all of the necessary care and support.

“We are conducting ongoing eunqiries and now have a description of the man we would like to speak with.

“He is described as being white and his 20s or  30s. At the time he was wearing dark clothing and has very short, cropped, dirty blonde hair.”

Kent University offered advice for their students after this horrendous incident.

They said: ” If you’re thinking of a night out, don’t forget to plan how to get home safely.
