RECIPE: Sweet & crunchy wholegrain tuna pasta salad

Salad bowls are easy, cheap and healthy. The best thing about this one is that it takes about 10 minutes to whip up, perfect for the days when hunger levels are high but effort levels are low.

Can of tuna

Wholegrain pasta

Mixed lettuce

Low fat salad cream

Chia seeds (optional)

  1. Cook the wholegrain pasta and leave aside to cool down
  2. In a bowl, thoroughly mix the tuna fish and mayonnaise
  3. Layer the wholegrain pasta at the bottom of the bowl and put the tuna mayonnaise mix on top
  4. Sprinkle chia seeds over the tuna, this bulks up the dish, adds more nutrients and helps you feel fuller
  5. Scatter the lettuce, cucumber, sweetcorn as you like
  6. Add some salad dressing to finish
