What to do in Canterbury this Autumn

There is always something going on in Canterbury with things to see and do. From shopping to visiting historical landmarks, there’s a lot to offer.

With Autumn upon us, Westgate Gardens and Dane John Gardens are perfect to explore if you are looking for some peace and quiet whilst escaping the busy city atmosphere. The hustle and bustle of the high street provides a vast amount of independent and chain restaurants to choose from as well as cafes and bars. A personal favourite of mine is the Chocolate Cafe which is perfect for everyone with a sweet tooth! It’s located near the Cathedral in Guildhall St and is only a short walk from the Marlowe Theatre.

With Chitty Chitty Bang Bang just finishing we can look forward to upcoming shows such as Chicago coming 24 October – 29 October, The Marlowe Comedy Club and The Woman In Black which will all provide a great night of entertainment.

Not to be forgotten, the Canterbury festival will be coming to town from the 15 October – 5 November which is known to be one of the most cultural events in the South East. It draws in huge audiences of all ages to free and ticketed events. It hosts a wide range of events which include music, comedy, science and lots more. It is something to look forward to and can’t be missed!
